Description

Polenta Swardpos helps you regain access to your own password-protected documents and archives when you still remember pieces of the password—names, dates, places, habits—but not the exact spelling or order.

You define word groups and transformation rules (capitalization, reversed words, optional characters, combinations). Polenta Swardpos builds a focused candidate list from that knowledge, then verifies candidates against files you select on your PC. Everything runs locally and offline: no cloud upload, no account required.

Built for personal data recovery, IT support, and digital forensics workflows where you already have a legitimate right to open the file—Microsoft Office, LibreOffice / OpenDocument, ZIP (ZipCrypto and AES-256), RAR, and 7z.

Intended use

Polenta Swardpos is a forgotten-password recovery utility for documents and archives that belong to you or that you are authorized to unlock. It is not designed to open other people’s files without permission. Use it when a partial memory of the password is enough to rebuild likely candidates.

Data storage

Recovery profiles are stored as *.profile.json on your PC. Where they live depends on how you run the app:

• Portable download: next to the executable. The zip includes PolentaSwardpos.deploy.json with portable mode.
• Installer: under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Polenta Connection\PolentaSwardpos. The installer sets installed mode automatically.

Your profiles and results stay on your computer.
